In addition to a good education, experience, and a confident demeanor, an attractive appearance offers significant advantages—both in one’s professional development and in one’s personal life.
The Professor Sailer Clinic is one of the leading centers of excellence in the fields of facial surgery, maxillofacial and oral surgery, as well as reconstructive and corrective surgery. Our services—whether in aesthetic enhancement or plastic surgery—are always performed with a focus on optimal patient tolerance and a commitment to maintaining a healthy body and mind. The newfound sense of well-being and enhanced self-confidence can contribute significantly to improving the quality of life.
Everyone can recognize a beautiful face. Very few people, however, know exactly what makes it attractive. High cheekbones are an important aesthetic feature in this subconscious assessment. High, beautifully defined cheekbones give a face a charming expression with a touch of sex appeal.
Attractiveness Through Prominent Cheekbones
A cheekbone onlay can restore cheeks that have sagged or become sunken over time. For faces with a flat midface structure and a rather elongated facial shape, augmenting the zygomatic bone can result in a striking increase in attractiveness.
Treatment through the oral cavity prevents visible scars
The cheekbones are accentuated using grafting materials such as Lyoknorpel or other biological materials. The size and position of the zygomatic onlay are determined on a case-by-case basis with the patient. In this process, every region of the zygomatic complex is carefully assessed: the anterior maxillary/zygomatic region in the area of the infraorbital sulcus, the zygomatic body itself, and the zygomatic arch. This differentiation is important and is often overlooked.
Lasting results
Since the procedure is performed through the mouth, there are no visible scars. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under anesthesia and is painless. There is usually only minor swelling after the procedure. The patient can go home afterward. The results are permanent.
My struggle with my congenital mandibular retrognathia began in early childhood. As a young adult, I decided to consult several doctors to learn about possible treatment options. At that time, the doctors (oral and maxillofacial surgeons as well as ENT specialists) advised me to undergo a complex surgical procedure—which would involve two surgeries and carry various side effects—during which my lower jaw would have to be broken and reattached twice. At that time, I was still a medical student. The mere thought of such a complex surgery led me to push aside the idea of a possible solution to my condition.
Many years later, I decided once again to seek out an expert in this field and to no longer tolerate this suffering, but to finally address it. As a licensed physician with a Ph.D., I searched for an expert using different criteria and eventually found Prof. Sailer. After reviewing his résumé, publications, and medical background, I immediately realized—as a doctor myself—that I had found not just an expert, but a leading authority in this field.
During my first consultation, my impression of Prof. Sailer was more than just confirmed. I met a man whose humanity and understanding of his patients surpassed even his professional expertise. As a fellow physician, this impression was something new and very refreshing for me.
After a long conversation, I went home and thought everything over. In the end, I overthought it a bit, so that my initial doubts began to creep in. Without hesitation, I contacted the clinic again, and promptly I had another appointment for a second consultation with Prof. Sailer, Dr. Sailer, and Ms. Tejic. The team took plenty of time and answered all my questions. My doubts had vanished, and the surgery date was set.
It’s been just under three months since the surgery, and I finally see in the mirror the woman who had been hiding deep inside me since birth but couldn’t come to the surface because of a congenital anatomical abnormality. I now go through life with greater self-confidence. I would therefore like to express my heartfelt and sincere gratitude to Prof. Sailer and the entire team at the clinic. Thank you for the excellent care, for always being there to listen, for your understanding, and for the outstanding work. Thank you for everything.
I would recommend to anyone who still has doubts that they simply go in for a consultation and see for themselves what Prof. Sailer and his team have to offer. I don’t regret taking this step and would do it all over again. They helped me transform from a once-insecure girl who had suffered for most of her life into an expressive and self-confident woman.
With warm regards, A.S.
Ms. Pia K., Germany
I had my surgery with Professor Sailer in October 2017. I had first heard about the clinic several years ago, but at that time, the procedure wasn’t yet a viable option for me.
Since I had already undergone surgery on my lower jaw in Germany—which, however, did not resolve my actual problem—it was clear to me that I would only have a second procedure performed by a specialist. After changing careers, my dream once again came within reach, and I scheduled a consultation. At the appointment, I met Dr. Sailer and Professor Sailer, and even on the flight home, I knew I would have the procedure done there. After a second appointment, during which everything was discussed and planned in detail, I was fortunate enough to get a surgery date a few weeks later.
It was major surgery, and you might not believe it, but I never felt any pain. It’s been three months now; everything has healed well and the swelling has gone down, and after years of being unhappy with my appearance, I’m delighted with my new look every single day. Having the procedure done was one of the best decisions of my life, and I can wholeheartedly recommend the professor, his clinic, and the entire team. You’re in the best hands there, both personally and professionally.

My story began when I was 13 years old and the malformation of my facial bone structure started. My chin and jaw became longer and narrower, lacking volume and masculine features. I thought that gaining weight would be the solution. As I grew up, I realized that the core problem was my bone structure and that it had nothing to do with body fat.
Hoping to find answers and solutions, I began researching and studying the subject. When it came to jaw and chin correction as well as cosmetic facial surgery, a whole new world opened up to me, but at the same time, it became clear that the field of facial bone structure is far more obscure than the fields of breast augmentation or rhinoplasty, for which information is much easier to find. “Which surgeon can meet my needs and wishes?”
In Europe, I found a clinic and a doctor who, in addition to other cosmetic surgeries, specializes in facial implants. I decided to have the surgery done there. The doctor used silicone implants that look terrible on my face. The result was an asymmetrical appearance, as the silicone implants shifted, and their size, shape, and placement did not meet my expectations—so my chin became even longer with the implant, and the overall look was completely unbalanced. I was very disappointed. It occurred to me that my case might be too complicated.
My gut feeling told me that the result needed to be corrected, that my implants had to be removed, because deep down I knew that my wish could come true. My mind told me I should give up. My heart insisted that I keep looking for a surgeon. One day, I came across Prof. Sailer’s website in a forum. I had my doubts: “Oh, yet another website where I’ll find information about minor changes to facial structure.” I clicked on the gallery and was surprised and thrilled by the results. “WOW, that’s exactly what I want and need—a surgeon who is an expert in facial structure and the jaw area, someone with extensive experience who doesn’t shy away from complex procedures.”
I couldn’t wait to speak with Dr. Erica on the phone and tell her about my wishes and my story. I sent her a few photos and some before-and-after pictures to show her what I was hoping for. She put my mind at ease and presented my case to Prof. Sailer. Shortly after, I received a call back from Dr. Erica—“We can do this!” Dr. Erica was extremely kind, accommodating, and very confident from the very beginning. It was a wonderful moment.
The next step was to schedule a consultation with Prof. Sailer. Thanks to her professional approach, Angela helped me set up the appointment. She was very kind right from our very first conversation. I’m on my way to Zurich and can’t wait to meet Prof. Sailer, Dr. Erica, and the entire team. The clinic is well-organized, and the team is very professional and friendly. First, I met Dr. Erica, who welcomed me with open arms. She was very knowledgeable and advised me on the best procedures to achieve my goals. She has a wealth of experience and a keen eye for aesthetics. Then I met Prof. Sailer. WOW, what can I say? Right from the start, I felt very comfortable in his presence—there was no aloofness or artificiality; I felt as if I’d known him for years. He looked at me, glanced at the reference photo, and began explaining how my wish could become a reality. He immediately noticed every single detail. At that moment, I realized that he was on the same wavelength as me and that he’s an expert who doesn’t shy away from complex challenges—such as facial bone structure. Prof. Sailer is right at home in this field. He has a patience I’ve never seen in anyone else. He addressed every detail and wanted to fulfill my wish in the best possible way. Jelena joined the consultation, bringing her keen eye for aesthetics and her experience. I could tell I was at the right clinic. I scheduled a second consultation to discuss a few more points. My gut told me this was the right place for my surgery. I’d never felt that way before. Dr. Erica told me sincerely, “This is an investment for your entire life that’s far more worthwhile than buying a new car.” I completely agree.
I scheduled my surgery appointment with the wonderful Angela. A few days before the surgery, I met with Prof. Sailer and Jelena. The preoperative consultation explained every detail clearly and was conducted with great patience. The day of the surgery—the moment of truth—was approaching. I was very excited, but not nervous, since I’m not afraid of surgical procedures. Plus, I felt good knowing that my face was in the hands of the best facial surgeon and the best team. The anesthesia was very pleasant and even a bit fun. When I woke up, I felt no pain, just a stiff and numb sensation in the lower part of my face. Significant swelling began the next day and lasted for several days. I had to stay in Zurich for more than 10 days to see if my body would accept the jaw implants. Prof. Sailer and Jelena took excellent care of me every day, and there were some funny moments mixed in with the exciting ones. Dr. Erica encouraged me every time we met, and the entire team was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. My mother was by my side during the first few days to support me.
Now, a month and a half after the surgery, I can say without a doubt and with complete clarity that Prof. Sailer is the best facial surgeon in the world. No one could have fulfilled my wish better than he did. After so many years of suffering, I can feel and see the harmony I’ve always wanted. Aside from the excellent result, this means that I now have the opportunity to devote myself to many new things. Finally, I can take photos and videos without having to hide behind the camera—in fact, I want to be in front of the camera. Prof. Sailer has been blessed by God with the ability, talent, empathy, and humble personality to reach out to people and replace disharmony with harmony, helping them become the best version of themselves.
I love Prof. Sailer, Dr. Erica, Dr. Kapor, Jelena, Angela, and the entire team; I am very grateful to them and miss them very much.
Thank you for everything

After a failed surgery, I had turned to many doctors in Germany in search of help, but to no avail.
No one would believe me; they doubted my complaints and simply turned a blind eye.
After extensive research online, I came across Prof. Sailer from Zurich. After speaking on the phone with his compassionate wife, Dr. Sailer, and Ms. Oppenberger, who were very helpful, I was able to schedule an appointment.
I have never met a doctor as empathetic and level-headed as Prof. Sailer.
He took a lot of time for me and listened to what I had to say. Given the complexity of my case, he is giving a lot of thought to how he can help me. Prof. Sailer is trying to get to the root of the problem.
Here, they don’t just deport you.
From the very first moment, I felt well cared for at Prof. Sailer’s clinic, and I have complete trust in him. They also took loving care of my mom.
Even after we got back home, they called me to check in and see how I was doing.
No doctor has ever done that before. The entire clinic team we interacted with was more than helpful and went out of their way to assist us.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks for this.
Thank you, and see you next time.“

Testimonial from Mr. M. K., Switzerland
Ever since I was 16, I had been very unhappy with the asymmetry of my face—more specifically, with the unevenness of my cheeks and upper cheekbones—and searched online for a specialist.
Professor Sailer in Zurich seemed to me to be the most experienced in this area, judging by the many photos on his website. When I sent my first written inquiry, I immediately got the impression that they were attentive and responsive to my aesthetic preferences. Based on the photos of my face that I sent to the clinic, I received a free telephone consultation from Dr. Schwob a few days later. After the very informative conversation—and feeling confident that I was in the right place—I scheduled an examination appointment. X-rays were taken, and I also met Professor Sailer. He was very kind, and I was surprised by how much time he took for me and my problem. At the clinic, they also showed me many impressive photos of patients who had undergone surgery, and they even offered to let me contact some of them. Initially, I was prescribed an anti-clenching splint, since I was clenching my teeth and my jaw was constantly clicking, which caused my chewing muscles to strengthen and grow. I also received botulinum toxin injections to relax the chewing muscles. This produced a good aesthetic result, but unfortunately, it was still not entirely satisfactory. I was firmly resolved to undergo the procedure to even out my cheekbones using a bone graft. My mother and brother accompanied me to the final consultation before the surgery and encouraged me in my decision.
Almost two years have passed since then, and I am writing this letter to express my deep gratitude to Professor Sailer.
I’m so glad I had this procedure done.
A face that is perceived as beautiful always has a well-proportioned and well-defined shape. This includes, above all, the contour of the lower, lateral edge of the face where it meets the neck—the chin and neck contour. Through jaw angle augmentation using an implant, this area can be accentuated, the skin tightened, and a double chin and sagging cheeks permanently reduced.
Well-defined contours and reduction of a double chin through jaw angle correction
Achieve permanently beautiful, well-defined chin and neck contours with jaw angle implants
A person’s natural jaw angle is located at the posterior junction of the lower jaw and the neck. If this contour is poorly defined, the face appears round. Over time, the cheek and neck areas “blend together” due to the sagging of fat and skin tissue. By augmenting the jawline with an implant, this area can be surgically accentuated and the skin tightened again.
Double chins and age-related sagging cheeks disappear
This method gives the face a well-defined, shapely contour. The “sagging cheeks” caused by the aging process disappear. The extent to which the implant extends forward along the lower jawline is determined on an individual basis. The implant used is made of a specially developed, biocompatible material whose shape can be customized for each patient.
The result looks natural, leaves no external scars, and is permanent.
The procedure is painless and leaves no visible scars. The treatment is performed under general anesthesia. The patient can go home the very next day. The surgery is performed through the mouth, which is why there are no visible external scars. Swelling is to be expected for about 10 days after the surgery. The position of the teeth remains unchanged. The result is permanent and creates a beautiful contour along the lateral edge of the lower jaw and the neck area. For patients with a small, receding chin, we recommend a combination of mandibular angle augmentation and chin augmentation.
The material is made of Medpor. Upon request, it can also be made from a custom-made PEEK implant. These materials are biocompatible, well-tolerated, and have been used in medicine for decades as replacement materials.
This method permanently removes a double chin and creates a beautifully contoured chin and neckline.
When combined with a chin rim advancement, this procedure replaces the traditional facelift without restricting facial expressions and ensures a lifelong, rejuvenating, aesthetic, and natural appearance.

Germany
After a long and difficult journey, several cosmetic procedures that never left me satisfied, and constantly hiding whenever someone wanted to take a side-view photo of me, and various obstacles that had stood in my way throughout my life due to my malocclusion, I decided in mid-December 2015 to schedule a consultation with Prof. Dr. Sailer.
I always knew that something about my face wasn’t right—or hadn’t developed normally—but not even a doctor could tell me exactly what it was during various previous consultations. First they said it was my nose, then my cheeks, then my teeth. No one had a solution or a suggestion on how to go about helping me.
While searching for information on jaw misalignment, I stumbled upon Prof. Dr. Sailer’s website by chance. I read the many positive reviews, and the photos of patients featured there piqued my curiosity about the clinic, the doctor in question, and his team. I submitted a non-binding request for a consultation via the contact form, and the very next day, Dr. Sailer called me personally to schedule an appointment. So, shortly thereafter, I set off from Germany to Zurich, carrying a fair amount of nervousness but also a sense of anticipation in my carry-on luggage.
After all, this topic has been on my mind my whole life. Whether back in school or in college, I just always felt uncomfortable.
My first impression of the clinic was great! It’s a warm, cozy practice with a very stylish interior. Everyone on the team was very welcoming and attentive from the very first moment. The surgical options were explained to me in detail, and after just this first one-hour appointment, I was already certain that I wanted Prof. Dr. Sailer to perform my surgery. Nevertheless, according to the professor and Dr. Sailer, I should take plenty of time to think it over—after all, this isn’t a minor procedure, and the financial burden is no small matter either.
After another consultation, during which my questions were answered and Dr. Sailer showed me photos of former patients with similar misalignments, the surgery date was quickly set. I was simply determined and didn’t want to wait any longer, as I was certain this surgery would make a huge difference for me. This was exactly the kind of doctor I’d been looking for over the past few years—someone who knows what needs to be done, understands where the problem lies, comes across as professional, and isn’t just out to sell something. So I ended up having the surgery about 3 1/2 months after our first meeting.
I arrived at the clinic in the morning on the day of the surgery and was incredibly nervous. The professor welcomed me personally, showed me to my room, and immediately put my mind at ease. Since Dr. Sailer is generally a very kind, warm-hearted person, his demeanor is naturally contagious, and you feel at ease. I trusted him completely at all times. You can tell right away that he loves his job and is fully committed to it. So I got changed, walked into the operating room on my own—or rather, into the room where I received the anesthesia, which, by the way, I tolerated very well—and, to be honest, that’s about all I can remember. I drifted off to sleep, and when I woke up, there was always someone with me; they kept me supplied with drinks and medication. I wasn’t in any pain at that point, and I slept soundly through the night. The next day, however, the swelling set in. But even that was mild, and contrary to expectations, I didn’t end up looking like a pumpkin 😉 Of course, the scar in my mouth and the swelling were uncomfortable—it twinged and tugged from time to time—but it was absolutely bearable. Plus, I was given pain medication and everything else I asked for. Since I was feeling so well—I was already walking around the hospital on the second day, chatting with the nurses, taking a shower, and even stepping outside briefly—there was no reason not to leave the hospital after the third night. In the morning, I had one last conversation with the professor—who, by the way, visited me at least once every day during my stay—and so I set off with my mom from Zurich to Innsbruck, to her home. I figured it would be better to get through the initial swelling from a safe distance—after all, there’s no need to worry anyone at home unnecessarily 😉
Unfortunately, however, my condition got progressively worse while I was in Austria. I was in severe pain, had recurring nosebleeds at night, circulatory problems, and shortness of breath because my nose was completely blocked—my entire jaw just hurt incredibly.
Dr. Sailer had given me his personal number beforehand, so I called him on the second day after I was discharged and told him about my pain. Just hearing his voice put my mind at ease. He explained that it couldn’t be anything serious, told me how to take care of myself, and immediately sent a prescription for stronger pain medication to the pharmacy, which my mom was able to pick up just 15 minutes after the call. Fortunately, the medication worked quickly, though I have to say that the next two days were still very painful and exhausting. Dr. Sailer also called me the next day and personally checked in on how I was doing. He really went out of his way to help. After a total of about four painful days, things started to improve every day. The swelling went down more and more each day, and the contours became increasingly visible. And now, exactly four weeks after the surgery, I could cry every time I look in the mirror—because I’m so happy! I’m so glad I decided to take this step—I can feel my self-confidence growing. This surgery is really no minor procedure, as I mentioned earlier; you should be aware that you’ll be limited for the first few weeks, you won’t be able to chew, and in the worst case, half your face will be numb—which even makes drinking difficult, or holding a glass to your lips—but it’s worth it. And that’s exactly what I thought about every day: It’ll be worth it. For this result, the pain and the temporary limitations were simply worth it.
Prof. Dr. Sailer’s work is simply incredible; even today, I still can’t believe what he’s done for my face. On top of that, he and the entire team are so kind and approachable. Dr. Sailer, too, went out of her way to help me—she held my hand while the stitches were being removed, assured me I could call at any time, cheered me up when I was experiencing pain, and answered every question in detail both before and after the surgery. I felt well taken care of the entire time, whether at the clinic or at home.
I’m looking forward to the coming weeks and to the final result, even though it already looks great today. The most important thing for me?! I feel beautiful and truly comfortable in my own skin—for the first time in my life!
The chin plays a crucial role in facial aesthetics and contributes significantly to one’s sense of identity. The shape of the chin has an impact on one’s social environment that should not be underestimated. A receding chin, a double chin, and other chin deformities can lead to a negative perception and reduced likability in the eyes of others.
A double chin, sagging chin, or receding chin can be treated with outpatient surgery. Patients often notice a positive change after just a short time: Increased self-esteem is often accompanied by generally better posture, a more confident demeanor, and a more positive aura.
During double chin correction, the chin muscle is tightened again. In the case of a sagging chin, the soft tissues of the chin hang down. Causes include sagging of the musculus mentalis (chin muscle), loss of the anterior mandibular crest, or detachment of the musculus mentalis due to the insertion of an artificial chin implant. A drooping chin can be corrected by tightening the chin muscles. Particularly in cases of a receding chin, highly attractive results can be achieved in the facial profile without the use of an artificial chin implant (see possible complications as described above), thereby enhancing the facial features. The result is permanent.
The treatment is painless and leaves no visible scars
The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under anesthesia and is painless. The patient can go home afterward. The procedure is performed inside the mouth, in the lower anterior labial fold behind the lower lip, and leaves no visible scarring. Artificial chin implants are not recommended, as they cause bone resorption in the chin.
I met a man whose humanity and compassion for his patients surpassed even his professional expertise. As a fellow physician, this impression was something new and very refreshing for me….
After a long conversation, I went home and thought everything over. In the end, I thought about it a little too thoroughly, so that my initial doubts began to creep in. Without hesitation, I contacted the clinic again, and promptly I had another appointment for a second consultation with Prof. Sailer, Dr. Sailer, and Ms. Tejic. The team took a lot of time and answered all my questions. My doubts had vanished, and the surgery date was set.
It’s been just under three months since the surgery, and I finally see in the mirror the woman who had been hiding deep inside me since birth but, due to a congenital anatomical malformation, had been unable to come to the surface. I now go through life with greater self-confidence. I would therefore like to express my heartfelt and sincere thanks to Prof. Sailer and the entire clinic team. Thank you for the excellent care, for always being there to listen, for your understanding, and for your outstanding work. Thank you for everything.
I would recommend to anyone who still has doubts that they simply go in for a consultation and see for themselves what Prof. Sailer and his team have to offer. I don’t regret taking this step and would do it again in a heartbeat. They helped me transform from a once-insecure girl who had suffered for most of her life into an expressive and self-confident woman.
Warm regards, A.S.

My story began when I was 13 years old and the malformation of my facial bone structure set in.
A whole new world opened up to me when it came to jaw and chin correction as well as cosmetic facial surgery, but at the same time, it became clear that the field of facial bone structure is far more obscure than the fields of breast augmentation surgery or rhinoplasty, for which information is much easier to find. “Which surgeon can handle my needs and wishes?”
In Europe, I found a clinic and a doctor who, in addition to other cosmetic surgeries, specializes in facial implants. I decided to have the surgery there. The doctor used silicone implants that look terrible on my face. The result was an asymmetrical appearance, because the silicone implants shifted, and their size, shape, and placement didn’t match my expectations—so my chin became even longer with the implant, and the overall look was completely unbalanced.
“WOW, that’s exactly what I want and need—a surgeon who is an expert in facial structure and the jaw area, someone with extensive experience who isn’t afraid to perform complex procedures.”
I couldn’t wait to speak with Dr. Erica on the phone and share my wishes and my story with her. I sent her a few photos and some model photos to show her what I was hoping for. She put me at ease and presented my case to Prof. Sailer. Shortly after, I received a call back from Dr. Erica—“We can do this!” Dr. Erica was extremely kind, courteous, and very confident right from the start.
She was very knowledgeable and advised me on the best procedures to help me achieve my goal. She has a wealth of experience and a keen eye for aesthetics. Then I met Prof. Sailer. WOW, what can I say? Right from the start, I felt very comfortable in his presence—there was no aloofness or artificiality; I felt as though I’d known him for years. Jelena joined the consultation, contributing her keen eye for aesthetics and her experience. I could tell I was at the right clinic. I scheduled a second consultation to discuss a few more points. My gut told me this was the right place for my surgery. I’d never felt that way before. Dr. Erica told me sincerely, “This is an investment for your whole life that’s far more worthwhile than buying a new car.” I completely agree.
I also had a good feeling because I knew my face was in the hands of the best facial surgeon and the best team. The anesthesia was very pleasant and even fun. When I woke up, I felt no pain, just a stiff and numb sensation in the lower part of my face. Severe swelling began the next day and lasted for several days.
Now, a month and a half after the surgery, I can say without a doubt and with complete certainty that Prof.
Thank you for everything,
Mr. O.
Ms. A. Urwin from London writes:
I live in London and was unhappy with the chin implant that a doctor had previously inserted for me. After consulting with numerous surgeons about having the implant removed and being disappointed by the amount of poor advice I received, I decided to go to Professor Sailer in Switzerland.
I was extremely impressed by his expertise and the advice he provided. He explained the medical procedures in detail, discussed various aesthetic considerations, and laid out the risks—without sugarcoating them—and the possible outcomes. He drew diagrams. Photos, X-rays, and 3D scans using his clinic’s in-house equipment. He discussed my expectations and the surgical options with me and his team. It was completely different from my experiences with other doctors.
I also really appreciate the many before-and-after photos. It was great to see that there were chins that looked similar to mine, so I had an idea of what it would look like after the surgery.
He removed the chin implant and performed a chin correction using my own chin bone, a procedure known as chin edge advancement.
I felt like I was in the right place. The surgery went very well. Prof. Sailer has such a magical touch—I could feel it right after the surgery. My chin looked fantastic. Whenever I had any postoperative questions, the clinic staff was always there right away and very patient. My recovery went smoothly—exactly as I expected! I’m thrilled with the results.
Now I’m considering whether I should undergo another cosmetic jaw surgery with him. I wouldn’t consider any other surgeon. Once you’ve found the best, you stick with them!
Prof. Sailer is a true professional and a pioneer in his field. He gives 100% of himself—and more. If I’m considering surgery … I’ll only choose Prof. Sailer, because I’m paying for his talent, not the price. I’ll be forever grateful that he gave me my smile back.
Thank you very much, Professor
I was so unhappy with my profile, my bumpy nose, and my round chin.
I talked to my husband about getting some work done on my face, and believe me, my husband isn’t a fan of cosmetic surgery.
The most important thing to him was that I maintain my natural appearance. He would only agree to the procedure on the condition that I find the most skilled and best surgeon for it.
After an extensive search, I decided to schedule an appointment with Professor Sailer. I was very impressed by what I had read about him. In the meantime, my husband had also started his own search independently of me and discovered that Professor Sailer is one of the world’s most renowned and experienced experts in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He therefore agreed to a joint appointment with him.
My first visit to the Sailer Clinic was an impressive experience. If you’re planning an appointment with Professor Sailer, you should set aside plenty of time!!! Hours!!! Where else in our stressful daily lives can you still find a doctor who takes so much time for his patients???? At the Sailer Clinic, everyone is committed to addressing patients’ needs, and they serve the best cappuccino in town! Our first consultation lasted 2 hours! Professor Sailer, Dr. Sailer, and the entire team are extraordinary individuals. Prof. Sailer showed me the ideal solution for improving my facial structure. I especially liked the idea of correcting my chin using my own bone instead of an implant.
I thought I was the patient, but when we met Prof. Sailer, he also identified the cause of my husband’s sleep apnea and showed him the best possible treatment for this condition, which my husband had been struggling with for years. He had already seen many doctors about it—unfortunately, without success.
It’s incredible how Professor Sailer and Dr. Sailer care for their patients.
Before the surgery, I had several appointments at the clinic, and they always took the time to listen to my questions and concerns.
Finally, I underwent the surgery full of trust and confidence, certain that Prof. Sailer would not disappoint me—I am overjoyed with my new face!!! I have a charming, sweetly shaped nose that looks beautiful and natural. My chin was corrected to move forward exactly to the right position and, at the same time, shaped to be slightly more pointed—exactly as I had hoped. My face is now well-proportioned and balanced, and I’m developing a new sense of self-worth. – Finally, my face looks as pretty as I’ve always dreamed it would my whole life. I’m so grateful to Professor Sailer and highly recommend him!
Here you’re in the best hands, and the best results are guaranteed.
And the best part—my husband has fallen in love with me all over again, thanks to my cute new face!!! ☺
The post-operative care was also better than I could have hoped for. It doesn’t feel like being in a hospital, but more like staying at a 5-star hotel ☺, and that really helps take your mind off the unpleasant postoperative side effects. Prof. Sailer and Dr. Sailer are there for their patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Germany
After a long and painful journey, several cosmetic procedures that never left me satisfied, constantly hiding whenever someone wanted to take a side-view photo of me, and various obstacles that had stood in my way throughout my life due to my malocclusion, I decided in mid-December 2015 to schedule a consultation with Prof. Dr. Sailer.
I always knew that something about my face wasn’t right—or hadn’t developed normally—but not even a doctor could tell me exactly what it was during various previous consultations. Supposedly it was my nose, then my cheeks, then my teeth.
I submitted a non-binding request for a consultation via the contact form, and a day later, Dr. Sailer called me personally to schedule an appointment. So, shortly thereafter, I set off from Germany to Zurich, carrying a fair amount of nervousness but also anticipation in my carry-on luggage.
After all, this issue has been on my mind my whole life. Whether back in school or during college, I simply always felt uncomfortable.
My first impression of the clinic was great! It’s a warm, cozy practice with a very stylish interior. Everyone on the team was very welcoming and attentive from the very first moment. The surgical options were explained to me in detail, and after this first one-hour appointment, I was already certain that I wanted Prof. Dr. Sailer to perform my surgery. Nevertheless, according to the professor and Dr. Sailer, I should take some time to think it all through carefully—after all, this isn’t a minor procedure, and the financial burden is no small matter either.
After another consultation, during which my questions were answered and Dr. Sailer showed me photos of former patients with similar misalignments, the surgery date was quickly set. I was simply determined and didn’t want to wait any longer, as I was certain this surgery would make a huge difference for me. This was exactly the kind of doctor I’d been looking for over the past few years—someone who knows what needs to be done, understands where the problem lies, comes across as trustworthy, and isn’t just trying to sell you something. So I ended up having surgery about 3 1/2 months after our first meeting.
I arrived at the clinic in the morning on the day of the surgery and was incredibly nervous. The professor welcomed me personally, took me to my room, and immediately put my mind at ease. Since Dr. Sailer is generally a very kind, warm-hearted person, his demeanor is naturally contagious, and you feel right at home. I wasn’t in any pain at that point, and I slept soundly through the night as well. The next day, however, the swelling set in. But even that was mild, and contrary to expectations, I didn’t end up looking like a pumpkin 😉 Of course, the scar in my mouth and the swelling were uncomfortable—it twinged and tugged now and then—but it was absolutely bearable. Plus, I was given pain medication and everything I asked for. Since I was feeling so well—I was already walking around the clinic on the second day
, chatting with the nurses, taking a shower, and even stepping outside briefly—there was no reason not to leave the clinic after the third night.
That morning, I had one last conversation with the professor—who, by the way, had visited me at least once every day during my stay—and so my mom and I set off from Zurich to Innsbruck, to her home. I figured it would be better to get through the initial swelling from a safe distance—after all, there’s no need to worry anyone at home unnecessarily 😉
Unfortunately, though, I started feeling worse and worse while I was in Austria. I was in severe pain, had recurring nosebleeds at night, circulation problems, and trouble breathing because my nose was completely blocked; my entire jaw just hurt incredibly.
Dr. Sailer had given me his personal number beforehand, so I called him on the second day after I was discharged and told him about my pain. Just hearing his voice put my mind at ease. He explained that it couldn’t be anything serious, told me what to do, and immediately sent a prescription for stronger pain medication to the pharmacy, which my mom was able to pick up just 15 minutes after the call. Fortunately, the medication worked quickly, though I have to say that the next two days were still very painful and exhausting. Dr. Sailer also called me the next day and personally checked in on how I was doing. He really went out of his way to help. After a total of about four painful days, things started looking up every day.
On top of that, he and the entire team are so kind and welcoming. Dr. Sailer has also gone out of her way for me—she held my hand while the stitches were being removed, assured me I could call her at any time, cheered me up when I was experiencing pain, and answered every question in detail both before and after the surgery. I felt well taken care of the entire time, whether at the clinic or at home. I’m looking forward to the coming weeks and to the final result, even though it already looks great today. The most important thing for me?! I feel beautiful and truly comfortable in my own skin—for the first time in my life!

Over the course of a person’s life, the eye begins to appear smaller because the eyebrow presses down on the upper eyelid. Bags under the eyes form due to the increased displacement of fatty tissue in the lower eyelid area. The face appears tired and worn out. Professor Sailer has developed new methods to give the entire eye area a naturally radiant appearance.
The traditional facelift method—upper eyelid surgery, in which excess skin and fatty tissue are removed—has the significant drawback of making the eye appear smaller. This method further reduces the distance between the eyebrow and the upper eyelid. The result is often a look of deep-set, hollow, and shadowed eyes.
An “open gaze” thanks to the innovative brow lift surgical technique
Professor Sailer therefore developed a new method to give the entire eye area a naturally radiant appearance. To do this, a small incision is made just behind the hairline on the forehead, which leaves no visible scar later on. The drooping eyebrow is lifted slightly, which also eliminates the “crow’s feet” at the sides. At the same time, any remaining excess skin on the upper eyelid can be removed with as little fat reduction as possible; if too much fat is removed, the eye appears smaller. The eye “opens” up again, appearing larger and more friendly. The entire eye area then appears rejuvenated and naturally harmonious.
In addition to older people with sagging skin, young patients often opt for lower eyelid correction or treatment of under-eye bags. Lower eyelid correction is performed through a small, precise incision in the inner mucosal area of the lower eyelid crease—which is not visible from the outside (transconjunctival approach)—allowing direct access to the bags under the eyes. This routine procedure poses no risk to the eye and leaves no visible scars. The conventional method involving external incisions can lead to everted eyelids (ectropion).
If there is a significant amount of excess skin in the eyelid area, an upper eyelid lift can be performed at the same time. This correction is a simple procedure that can also be performed under local anesthesia. In the upper eyelid, the incision is made within the eyelid crease, so that the fresh scar cannot be seen when the eye is open and is virtually invisible once healed.
A thorough analysis is extremely important before any surgical procedure. Eyelid surgery is not the right choice for all patients seeking a more refreshed appearance around the eyes. Often, a brow lift is sufficient to achieve a naturally younger look.
